We are seeking a suitably experienced Quality Assurance Manager to join this well established, innovative and market leading food manufacturing business . This role is part of the senior management team and will manage Quality Assurance and be a driving force in the upgrade & implementation of a new Food Safety Program across the business. Therfore it is expected that you will have already worked in similar role and bring a wealth of knowledge and experience to the table. This successful and growing business has a range of products from Food Service through to Retail brands. In this role you will be required to lead and mentor QA staff and Team Leaders across several sites.
It is expected that the leading applicants for this role will have the following skills / experience:
- Investigating complaints, quality issues and determining remedial action.
- Manage and implement change where required to quality systems.
- Supplier quality compliance & audits.
- Project Management and work well in cross functional teams.
- Liaising with product suppliers and determining steps for continual improvement
You will be a self starter with an ability to think outside the box. This is a role where attention to detail and the ability to identify trends will be paramount. Additionally you must meet the following pre-requisites:
- Tertiary qualified in Science (Food Science, Consumer Science or similar)
- Practical experience within the quality department of a manufacturing facility.
- Excellent customer management and interpersonal skills.
- A thorough understanding of Food Safety Regulations.
- Good Leadership and staff mentoring experience.
