Six month contract CBD Location Residential Accountability Section
My Client is seeking Commonwealth Nursing Officers( APS 6)to visit aged care homes to assess claims for the payment of aged care subsidy, ensuring their accuracy so that payments are made at the appropriate level based on care needs. These claims are made using the Resident Classification Scale (RCS) or Aged Care Funding Instrument (ACFI) and require the use of clinical skills, experience and knowledge. This entails:
Working with a professional team of Registered Nurses to plan and implement review visits to residential aged care facilities within metropolitan and country NSW.
Both individually and as part of a team, conduct on-site reviews of Application for Classification claims under either ACFI or RCS. Officers have delegated powers under the Aged Care Act 1997 to decide if the claims satisfy the requirements of the Aged Care Classification Principles 1997.
The conduct of internal review audits of delegate decisions.
Maintaining internal databases and the use Departmental word processing and e-mail systems.
Participation in compliance related activities in accord with Departmental policies.
Routine travel by air and road to metropolitan and country areas (of up to several days duration).
Experience in aged care would be an advantage.
