This fully automated production loaded block cave operation is located at the top of WA. This Diamond mine has been one the worlds leading producers for over 20 years and is now moving into a new phase of block cave mining. This challenging and fairly unique to Australia methodology, requires technically minded engineers and offers unrivaled career opportunities.
As Technical Services Manager you will be providing a technical support to the underground operation during the transition phase from surface mining. You will need to have a broad scope of knowledge across geotechnical management, mine engineering, geology and ventilation to succeed in this role. You will be overseeing the cave management strategy and technical support in cave initiation and propagation. This hands on role will also see you involved in the ongoing recruitment of the operations team and developing the team culture.
We are looking for a qualified mine engineer with underground experience and strong management potential. You will have the technical expertise to be able to gain the respect and authority from your team. If you have experience in block caving methodologies that will be highly regarded.
Due to the highly technical and complex engineering involved a very generous salary package will be offered (base salary of $220k ++ and bonuses). This position is offered on a residential basis, however FIFO opportunities are available on a 4:3 roster if desired.
