Our client operates on a commercial basis providing critical infrastructure services to the Lower Hunter region. They are seeking a suitably qualified and experienced Manager to lead their Field Maintenance division.

 

You will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the electrical and mechanical field service teams to ensure contract requirements are being met for the region. This also includes being responsible for the development and maintenance of the company’s multi-billion dollar asset base.

 

Major responsibilities of the role include:

  • Leading safety within the division to ensure a ‘safety first’ culture with ongoing compliance to corporate and statutory frameworks
  • Effectively managing industrial agreements with associated unions
  • Manage the division’s contract for the provision of electrical and mechanical maintenance services for associated utilities i.e. water and waste water treatment plants
  • Ensuring contracts comply to safety, financial and operating objectives

The successful applicant will be:

  • Tertiary qualified in engineering – electrical/mechanical either trade/post trade
  • Extensive experience in the maintenance and operation of electrical and mechanical infrastructure and water/wastewater treatment plants
  • Previous exposure to dealing with HR/IR related issues
  • High level communication, organisation, negotiation and conflict resolution skills
  • Demonstrated experience in leading and developing a highly motivated team with a focus on continuous and process improvement
